Case Study: Travel App

Product: This Travel App gathers an abundance of information about events, attractions, dining hotspots and activities while offering a bunch of other exciting features.

Guide: Personal Project

Duration: 5 working days

My Role: UX Design, UI Design

Responsibilities: Creating assumptions, a proto persona based on these assumptions, a user flow, paper and digital wireframes, and low and high-fidelity prototypes.

Goal: The main goal for the design was to create two versions of an app dedicated to a specific city. The app aims to provide a wide range of information about the city, aiding visitors in fully embracing and experiencing everything it has to offer.

  • Users have a need for a dedicated page where they can view and manage their favorite items, such as events, sights, suggestions for food and drink and activities.
  • Users expect and desire the app to provide personalized recommendations tailored to their preferences, behavior, and historical interactions within the application.
  • Users expect the app to feature a section that highlights popular items.
  • Users desire to be able to write reviews for items within the app, as well as access reviews written by other users.
  • Users have expressed a pain point related to the inability to mark the places they have visited and the activities they have engaged in within similar apps.
  • Users have expressed a pain point regarding the lack of a feature that allows them to easily discover places nearby the one they are currently checking within similar apps.

Proto Persona

User Flow

I have created a user flow that illustrates how users will interact with the product.

Paper Wireframes

I took the time to draft iterations of each screen on paper, then I used the ideas I liked the most and created the final version of my paper wireframes.

Digital Wireframes

I created the digital wireframes using Figma and then using the completed set of my digital wireframes, I created a low-fidelity prototype. You can find the wireframes and the low-fidelity prototype here.

High-fidelity screens

Lastly, I created the mockup screens and the high-fidelity prototype. You can find the mockup and the high-fidelity prototype here.
