Dental Website for Maria Isidorou

Overview

Product: This dental website was created for the dental office of Maria Isidorou.

Guide: Dentist as a client

Duration: 3 weeks

My Role: UX Design, UI Design, WordPress Developer

Responsibilities: paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, iterating on designs, accounting for accessibility, and product development.

Goal: The main goal for the design was to create a responsive website for a dental office that includes requested pages and information.

Understanding the client's vision

I started the process with a discussion with client in which I took notes about the required pages, information and elements for the website. I also took into consideration the client’s personality, taste and style.

The dental website is responsive and it includes the following 5 pages:

  • Homepage
  • Dental Cases
  • Dental Office
  • Blog
  • Contact

and 8 more pages one for each dental service.

It also includes a newsletter form, reviews from clients, information for the dentist, contact form and map.

Creating the website

I started the design process by creating paper wireframes, then I created digital wireframes, and mockups. Lastly, I used WordPress and Elementor to bring my designs to life.

After the website’s impementation, I worked on improving the website’s ranking(SEO) with impressive results. The website rose to the top of search-engine results during the first 6 months.

You can check the website here.

Accessibility Considerations

1. Provided access to users who are vision impaired through adding alt text to images for screen readers.

2. Used clear labels for interactive elements that can be read by screen readers.

3. Used accessible color contrast confirmed by WebAIM.
